The lawyers at McKiggan Hebert Law Firm are pleased to offer a monthly gift card giveaway to deserving teachers in the Halifax Regional Municipality. Nominate your favorite teacher for a $50 gift card to help purchase classroom supplies .
Teachers are Stretching Their Budgets to Help Their Students Succeed
As reported by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), some teachers spend as much as $1,000 each year on school supplies for their classrooms. This is money out of their own pockets that they choose to spend for the benefit of their students.
In the Halifax Regional Municipality, the situation is no different. John McKiggan spent 8 years volunteering on the School Advisory Council at his son’s school so he has seen firsthand the sacrifices many teachers make for their students. We know many teachers are stretching their budgets so that they can outfit their classrooms with the tools and resources their students need in order to be successful.
The McKiggan Hebert Lawyers Halifax Teacher of the Month Program
In order to recognize the commitment and sacrifice of these selfless teachers, McKiggan Hebert Lawyers’s Halifax Teacher of the Month Program allows members of the Halifax community to nominate their favorite teachers for a school supplies gift card. Each month, McKiggan Hebert Lawyers will award a $50 gift card to one deserving teacher in the Halifax Regional Municipality to help offset the costs of buying school supplies for their classroom. Winners will be announced each month on our website.
Anyone can nominate a teacher – students, administrators, other teachers, neighbors, even family members. If you know a teacher who deserves to be recognized for their efforts, we want to hear about it!
